Overview

MultiBMS ("the App") is a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) battery monitor application. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data the App accesses and how it is handled.

Data Collection

What We Access

• Bluetooth device data: device names, signal strength (RSSI), and battery telemetry (voltage, current, temperature, state of charge) from BMS devices you connect to via Bluetooth.
• App preferences: your settings (polling interval, temperature unit, alert thresholds) are stored locally on your device.
• Purchase data: app stores may process purchase history for paid app downloads and optional in-app purchases.
• Diagnostics and identifiers: app stores and operating systems may provide crash diagnostics and device identifiers used for app functionality, purchase validation, and reliability reporting.

What We Do NOT Collect

• No personal information (name, email, phone number).
• No user accounts or login credentials.
• No location data. (Bluetooth permissions on Android may reference location, but MultiBMS does not use or store your location.)
• No advertising identifiers.
• No advertising network tracking.
• No cloud account, remote battery dashboard, or third-party telemetry server is required for BMS monitoring.

Data Storage

Battery-monitoring data is stored locally on your device only. Battery telemetry is held in memory during active connections and is not persisted after the app is closed. Your app preferences are stored using the device's local storage. Store purchases and diagnostics are handled by Apple, Google, and platform services according to their policies.

Data Sharing

MultiBMS does not sell your personal information or send BMS telemetry to an advertising network. Store purchases, purchase validation, crash diagnostics, and platform identifiers may be processed by Apple, Google, and platform services as part of normal app-store operation.

Data Deletion

Local app data is automatically deleted when you uninstall the App. You can also clear your preferences at any time through your device's app settings. App-store purchase history is managed by Apple or Google.

Children's Privacy

MultiBMS does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

GDPR Compliance (European Users)

MultiBMS keeps BMS telemetry local and does not operate a cloud battery account. App-store purchase and diagnostic data is handled through Apple and Google platform services. Contact us if you have a privacy request related to MultiBMS, and contact the relevant app store for store-account data.

CCPA Compliance (California Users)

MultiBMS does not sell personal information. Store purchase history, diagnostics, and identifiers may be handled by Apple and Google as described in their platform privacy disclosures.

Bluetooth Permissions

MultiBMS requires Bluetooth permissions solely to scan for and communicate with BMS battery devices. On Android 12+, the App requests BLUETOOTH_SCAN and BLUETOOTH_CONNECT permissions. On iOS, the App requests Bluetooth usage permission. These permissions are used exclusively for BMS device communication.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date above.

MultiBMS is developed and maintained by an independent developer. The App contains no advertising and does not send BMS telemetry to a cloud dashboard or ad network.
